Renovation Center - A Nordic Center for Energy Efficient Renovations

The project established a cross-border competence center in energy efficient renovations to increase knowledge about energy efficient renovations and sustainable buildings.

The project's main goal was to increase the number of competent professionals who could carry out resource- and energy-efficient renovations within the Botnia-Atlantica area. The goal would be achieved by establishing a Nordic Renovation Center, a Nordic knowledge network that would exchange best practices and support regional actors with information, training and new educational tools on sustainable renovation.

To provide relevant information, the project would collect data on end-user needs and different renovation methods. To educate different stakeholders, the project would also increase the availability of innovative and flexible educational tools. Companies, municipalities and property owners who participated in the project were expected, after the project's implementation, to have expanded their networks of valuable contacts, increased their knowledge of sustainable renovation methods and received new tools to support preventive property maintenance and energy-efficient renovations.
