Wet Grain in Package

The project developed an energy-saving, cost- and environmentally-efficient system for packing, storing and handling cross-ensilated grain to increase the profitability of the program area's grain production.

The project's goal was to increase the profitability of the program area's grain cultivation. This was achieved by creating an energy saving, cost and environmentally efficient system for packing, storing and handling crush ensiled grain. To facilitate the introduction of the system and minimize its environmental impact, the project also developed models for maturity, trade and handling of the packaging material. With the help of LCA analyses, it is reported how the system affects the environment compared to established methods.
